If it comes down to making offers to his whole high school team plus a few members of the marching band, so be it.

Nigel Bowden said he no longer plans any future visits to Georgia Tech. The Florida quarterback who became Georgia State's first commitment for 2013 ... changed his mind two days later. On Saturday, DJ Juste of Port St. Lucie, Fla., pledged to Georgia State. On Monday, he called Georgia State coach Bill Curry. At that point, Juste wasn't calling to de-commit but to let Georgia State he would be visiting other schools.

Georgia Tech has landed one of the top point guards in the nation. Solomon Poole of Jacksonville, Fla., committed to the Yellow Jackets over UCLA on Saturday. He is ranked as a 5-star recruit by Rivals, along with the nation's No. 14 overall college basketball prospect for 2013.

How did it go with UGA's top football recruit visiting Alabama over the weekend? Well, Derrick Henry, the 5-star tailback from Yulee, Fla., remained committed to UGA on Sunday night after returning from his mini-vacation at Alabama. That appears to be good news for UGA, doesn't it?

Jack Banda committed to Arizona on Friday, without visiting the school first. But the 6-foot-4, 220-pound defensive end from Grayson High School had his reasons. "Because that's a big offer and I didn't want to let it sit on the table," Banda explained. "I wanted to seal the deal and not let anything slip away."
